3 prospects the Warriors have to avoid in the NBA Draft

2. The Warriors can do better than Corey Kispert
Corey Kispert is one of the best shooters in this class, an elite spot-up threat and someone who excels running off screens and sprinting to the line in transition. The idea of pairing him with the Warriors’ spread offense is tantalizing, allowing him to capitalize on all the defensive attention that Curry and Thompson command. He also has the size to play on the wing which means he wouldn’t be directly competing with Curry or Thompson for minutes and he’d be a nice change of pace from what Andrew Wiggins offers in that position.
But, like Mitchell, Kispert is a player who seems to be dramatically overvalued by the media consensus compared to scouts or statistical models. He’s likely to be available when the Warriors are picking at No. 14 but within those two draft slots the Warriors could probably have a crack at someone like Franz Wagner or Moses Moody, players who are not quite in Kispert’s tier as a shooter but who are still strong perimeter threats and offer much more value defensively and versatility off the ball on offense.
