Mets: Jacob deGrom gives frightening update on his latest injury
Star New York Mets pitcher Jacob deGrom just provided an update on his elbow injury and it’s going to terrify fans.
In what should have been another Cy Young-winning season for Jacob deGrom, injuries have totally ruined those plans. The ace hurler hasn’t been on the mound since July 7, as he’s now dealing with an elbow injury.
With deGrom set to undergo an MRI next week, the New York Mets are hoping for the best news possible here. With that said, deGrom gave an update on the kind of pain he’s been dealing with and it doesn’t sound good whatsoever.
Jacob deGrom’s latest update on his elbow injury is downright concerning
Seeing this quote alone has got to scare manager Luis Rojas a bit. When healthy, deGrom is an absolute force on the hill. Before being sidelined this most recent time, the hard-throwing righty was 7-2 with a 1.08 ERA.
Unfortunately for him, deGrom has missed starts this year because of his numerous injuries and been pulled from games early on too. It’s been frustrating not just for him and Rojas, but Mets nation as a whole too.
The club was incredibly busy ahead of the MLB trade deadline, of course highlighted by bringing in star shortstop Javier Baez from the Chicago Cubs. With the Mets in first place of the NL East standings too, the guys in the dugout are riding high.
In order for the good vibes to keep going, and New York to try and turn some heads in the NL playoffs, they’ll obviously need deGrom to be on the bump throwing some serious heat. Folks all over Queens will be waiting patiently for some good results to come from his MRI. Keep your fingers crossed, Mets fans.
