Mookie Betts plays like a Gold Glove second baseman for the Los Angeles Dodgers as well.

Los Angeles Dodgers superstar outfielder Mookie Betts is making Web Gems at second base.

During Tuesday night’s 3-0 loss to the Houston Astros, Betts got the start at second base for the Dodgers. While he went 1-for-4 at the plate with a walk and a strikeout, the play of note from the game was Betts robbing Astros outfielder Michael Brantley of a certain single in the top of the fifth inning. Betts laid out for the ball on Brantley’s well-hit line drive off Walker Buehler’s offering.

Is there anything Betts cannot do on the baseball diamond for the Dodgers? He is incredible!

While Betts is every bit of a five-tool player for the Dodgers, what baseball fans are the most impressed about him is his slick glove work in right field. Of course, he can rake, steal bases and do all sorts of things offensively, but he is a total game changer on defense. Even if he is playing somewhat out of position at second base, Betts is so gifted that he can make Web Gems there.

As long as the Dodgers stay healthy, they should be among the favorites to win the National League again and get back to the World Series. Los Angeles has its eyes set on repeating as World Series champions, as anything short of back-to-back titles would be seen as a massive disappointment. Knowing that Betts can play second makes the Dodgers even more dangerous.

No matter where you position Betts in the field, he is going to find a way to make a big time play.
