Clemson’s D.J. Uiagalelei partners with Dr Pepper to star in Fansville ad

Clemson football star D.J. Uiagalelei is partnering with Dr Pepper this football season.
Don’t be surprised if you see Clemson football star quarterback D.J. Uiagalelei appearing in a handful of Dr Pepper Fansville ads this season.
The sensational sophomore signal-caller from Southern California has already inked an NIL deal with fast-food chain Bojangles. With a sweet series of Dr Pepper Fansville ads on the way, he is one Denny’s deal away from having the South Carolina trifecta of endorsement opportunities on his resume. For a quarterback with only two ACC starts under his belt, Uiagalelei has made bank.
“For me, NIL has been a great opportunity to be able to work with brands, to be able to do stuff like this,” said Uiagalelei an interview with ESPN.com. “If I was playing college football five years ago, I wouldn’t be able to do this. It’s a great opportunity for people now to be able to build off their brand, make money and work on different partnerships like Dr Pepper. I’m super excited about it.”
D.J. Uiagalelei secures a sweet NIL deal with Dr Pepper ahead of the season
Fansville has seen college football legends like Brian Bosworth and Eddie George play a police officer and a doctor respectively in the first three years of the ad campaign. Uiagalelei likes to drink Dr Pepper and has been a fan of the Fansville campaign since its inception. Not only is Uiagalelei able to cash in on his name, image and likeness, but he is also beginning to cultivate his acting chops with this.
Ultimately, for a quarterback with only a pair of college starts under his belt, having a pair of NIL deals with Bojangles and now Dr Pepper is hard to top. However, the only thing that matters is if Uiagalelei wins games as the Clemson quarterback. He is taking over for arguably the greatest quarterback in school history in Trevor Lawrence. The pressure is on him to carry Clemson now.
We cannot wait to see what role Uiagalelei will have in this year’s Fansville spots for Dr Pepper.
