Fantasy Football: Top 15 QB draft rankings for 2021
11. Tom Brady, TB
The GOAT is ranked outside of the top 10 and for good reason. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers seem to be as complete of a team in football as there is. Seeing that they are the defending Super Bowl champions, that would make a lot of sense. They are going to be up a lot and often, meaning Tom Brady may not have to throw nearly as much as he has in the past.
Brady is likely to be better in his second season with the team than his first but we don’t see his ceiling reaching the top 10 anymore for fantasy purposes. He will be a solid option but not someone worth picking over the top 10.
12. Jalen Hurts, PHI
It’s going to be interesting seeing how Jalen Hurts does in his first season as a starting quarterback in the NFL. He showed flashes at the end of last year that could land him in the top 10 and his running ability gives top five potential. That being said, there are likely to be some growing pains as Hurts has one of the lower floors in terms of point structure heading into this season.
Hurts feels like that Mahomes-Jackson-Murray league winner we have seen over the last few seasons and if he can put it all together, that’s what he will be.
13. Trevor Lawrence, JAX
“The Chosen One” has arrived in the NFL. The first overall selection in the 2021 NFL Draft Trevor Lawrence is expected to take over the starting quarterback job of the Jacksonville Jaguars on day one and that comes with one of the most underrated receiving corps in the league.
Laviska Shenault Jr. and D.J. Chark are expected to both have potential breakouts this year while the addition of veteran Marvin Jones should not be undervalued either. Add in that the Jaguars brought in Lawrence’s friend and college teammate Travis Etienne and you begin to understand that this could be a special year for Lawrence and company.
14. Joe Burrow, CIN
There have not been welcoming comments out of Bengals camp so far as reports are saying that both Joe Burrow and first-round selection Ja’Marr Chase have not been great. That being said, we are not too worried about that just yet. This is why we have Burrow listed here. The 2020 first overall selection is working his way back from injury but when he does get back, he will have one of the best young cores around him.
Chase, Tyler Boyd, and Tee Higgins give Burrow a lot of options this season and when you couple that with Joe Mixon, it’s exciting to think what this offense could be. Burrow’s struggles could scare some but he could be the best bargain of any if he puts it together this season like he was last year.
15. Tua Tagovailoa, MIA
Many are off the Tua Tagovailoa train after an up and down rookie season. At times it was questionable as to whether or not Tagovailoa could make the throws or not which understandably would keep fans away. All that being said, the Alabama product has a chance to be a post-hype sleeper who could put it all together.
The combination of talent Tagovailoa possesses mixed with a stacked offense makes it feel as though he should have a solid season at the very least. He should start off as a streamer but could be a league-winner if he figures it out this year.
