Brentford team news
The good news for the newly-promoted Bees is that it’s looking like forward Ivan Toney will be able to take the pitch on Friday when the team hosts Arsenal. Toney has been dealing with a minor neck injury, but manager Thomas Frank said not only will the speedster be ready to go against the Gunners, but he’ll also start the match as well.
Arsenal team news
On the other side of the pitch, Arsenal fans were hopeful that Thomas Partey would be fit to play in the season-opener, but that won’t be the case.
Partey suffered his injury against Chelsea in the preseason and he won’t be ready to rock for the first contest of the summer. Fortunately, both Bukayo Saka and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang are ready to go and could put on a show.

Brentford vs Arsenal prediction
With this being the first EPL tilt of the year, millions of eyes will be on both Brentford and Arsenal. Obviously, the pressure is on the Gunners. Their fanbase will have a complete and total meltdown if they open things up with a loss to a team that has never played in a league contest before. With that said, we think Arsenal will prevent that from happening.
