Dumb Mets fan shines laser pointer directly in Max Muncy’s eyes (Video)

A fan at Citi Field shined a laser pointer in the eyes of Los Angeles Dodgers first baseman Max Muncy during Friday’s game against the New York Mets.

The Los Angeles Dodgers are concluding their road trip in Queens, as they face the  New York Mets. With the game being closely contested, it is a real shame that the spotlight has to go on a fan doing something reckless and downright dangerous.

In the top of the ninth inning, Dodgers first baseman Max Muncy stepped into the batters box to face Mets closer Edwin Diaz with the game tied at four runs apiece. During the battle, a fan at Citi Field shined a bright green laser pointer directly in Muncy’s eyes. The first baseman stepped out of the batters box to point out where the laser was coming from to the home plate umpire.

Muncy had a runner on second base and the chance to potentially knock in the go-ahead run in the ninth. Then, some idiot in the stands decides to point a laser in Muncy’s eyes, which could have potentially caused serious damage.

This inexcusable action will not go unpunished once security at Citi Field find who did this. We can not believe this has to be said in the first place, but we have to now after witnessing this — do not shine lasers in a player’s eyes when attending a sporting event!
