Folks are out in full force trying to troll Justin Fields after a less than impressive first half of action with the Chicago Bears.

With the Chicago Bears hosting the Miami Dolphins on Saturday, that means it’s of course time to see what Justin Fields is made of. Well, the first-round pick came on after Andy Dalton got the start, but didn’t muster up much of anything.

Fields and the offense looked a bit sluggish, though he did lead a strong drive at the end of the first half which resulted in a field goal. A quick look at Twitter has folks, in insane fashion, already calling him a bust. Seriously?

Countless folks are letting Justin Fields have it and are calling him a bust way too early

Can we let the kid play at least a full half before we say that Chicago has another average quarterback on its hands? Fields is a tremendous talent. There’s absolutely no way people can already label him overrated or a terrible pick after such limited action.

To start the second half, Fields already has rushed for an eight-yard touchdown. His dual-threat abilities will stand out for a while. To everyone saying he’s a bust, let’s calm down. This kid has what it takes to be a total stud.

Yes, he might have struggled a bit in the first half, but he’s wasted no time in the third quarter in reminding everyone as to why his future is so bright. Fields is without question the QB of the future for this team. When Chicago traded up to select him, parties were thrown across the city. Fields will be ready to silence his haters throughout the 2021 campaign.
