Carlo Ancelotti turns down Cristiano Ronaldo-Real Madrid rumors
Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has come out and said there will be no reunion between Los Blancos and team legend Cristiano Ronaldo.
Is Cristiano Ronaldo getting ready to leave Juventus this summer? Over the past week, countless rumors have swirled, including the star player either making his way to Manchester City or going back to Real Madrid.
While Madrid fans were excited about possibly welcoming back one of the best players Los Blancos fans have ever seen, manager Carlos Ancelotti took to Twitter to let everyone know that it won’t be happening.
Carlo Ancelotti has come out and said that Real Madrid will not be welcoming back Cristiano Ronaldo
“Cristiano is a legend of Real Madrid and he has all my love and respect,” Ancelotti said in his tweet. “I never planned on signing him. We are looking toward the future.”
With that statement, the Madrid manager reminded folks that the club is in the middle of a rebuild and they’re not looking at bringing in Ronaldo. When it was announced that Sergio Ramos would be leaving the club, it reiterated that the La Liga side wanted to bring in younger talent. That’s why going after a 36-year-old Ronaldo makes no sense.
Ronaldo indeed will go down as one of the best Real Madrid players ever, as he helped the team win four Champions League titles. He also took home that glory with Manchester United under Sir Alex Ferguson.
He simply hasn’t had the same amount of success while at Juventus, and it looks like he could end up making his way out of Turin this summer. However, Real Madrid won’t be his next destination. Will it be Manchester City? That’d certainly break countless Manchester United fans’ hearts if that were to happen.
