The NBA Experience at Walt Disney World was a short-lived attraction. The results of its brief stint won’t make a reappearance since it’ll be closing for good.
Disney has always been a place for everyone to go to, have fun and live out their inner childhood to their heart’s content. They meet a lot of needs for a lot of different ages, interests and more, which is why it’s still so popular to go to after decades of its existence began.
But some events have come and gone for many different reasons, from Captain EO to Stitch’s Great Escape. It’s not uncommon to see attractions close down from time to time. So it’s unsurprising to see the NBA Experience at Walt Disney World go down in the dumps after just two short years.
The NBA Experience ride in Disney World closed down after two years
Two years ago, Disney launched the NBA Experience venue. The attraction was made to give hoops fans the experience to go on the journey of an NBA player, including things like drills and the championship vibes, as reported by CNet.
Soooo … an expensive basketball camp? It didn’t last long because of the COVID-19 pandemic halting business. But, luckily and unironically for Disney, they had the bubble in its place.
Regardless, the NBA chose to move away from the partnership, but it doesn’t seem to affect either party much.
