Pittsburgh Steelers wideout Chase Claypool is injured in training camp. He can hardly put any weight on his leg.
Some concerning news has arrived for the Pittsburgh Steelers and head coach Mike Tomlin. Towards the end of practice, star receiver Chase Claypool appeared to suffer a lower leg injury and could barely put any weight on it.
Claypool was spotted leaving the field with the help of both quarterback Ben Roethlisberger and tight end Eric Ebron. It goes without saying, but there’s now going to be plenty of concern surrounding Claypool’s injury, as he’s a major part of this offense.

Chase Claypool suffering a serious injury would be a massive blow for the Steelers
While we don’t want to speculate on the severity of Claypool’s injury, the fact that he had to be helped off the field like this and was in a ton of pain is not a great sign for Pittsburgh. The speedster is coming off a big rookie season for his team, posting 62 receptions for 873 yards and nine touchdowns. He also added two rushing scores.
Stay tuned to see what ended up happening with Claypool, but the hope is that he won’t miss extensive action. If he does, the start of the campaign could become quite difficult for the Steelers and Roethlisberger without the speedster on the field.
