6. Sincere McCormick, UTSA

If you were asked who the second-leading rusher behind Breece Hall was in college football for the 2020 season, it might take you a minute before you landed on Sincere McCormick of the UTSA Roadrunners. That, however, would be the correct answer as the then-sophomore was a workhorse for the Conference-USA program.

Playing in 11 games last year, McCormick emerged as one of the biggest Group of 5 stars in college football as he took 249 carries for 1,467 yards with 11 touchdowns. And this wasn’t the first year he put up some nice production in the Roadrunners offense as he also amassed 983 yards on 177 carries with eight touchdowns as a freshman in the 2019 season.

The 5-foot-9, 200-pound running back isn’t necessarily the most fleet of foot and no one is going to mistake him for Travis Etienne consistently in the open field. However, his ability to change directions and find space has been proven to this point, which is why he’s already over 2,000 career rushing yards after two years.

With the entire starting UTSA offensive line from last year returning for another season to pave the way for McCormick, we should again expect big things from the running back. And he also could be a player who starts to shoot up NFL Draft boards.
