On Aug. 17 Fabio Jakobsen powered past the competition to win Stage 4 of the 2021 La Vuelta a Espana.

Fabio Jakobsen beat out Arnaud Demare and others in a sprint finish to win Stage 4 of 2021 La Vuelta a Espana. The stage win comes after the crash in the 2020 Tour of Poland that left him seriously injured.

The peloton eventually caught the breakaway with 13 kilometers left to go and Jakobsen pushed past Team Groupama FDJ’s Demare in the final meters to finish first.

Team Alpecin-Fenix’s Sacha Modolo originally made the first try to sprint to the finish line at the tail end of the race but Jakobsen managed to pass him as well.

Team Education First -Nippo’s Magnus Cort Nielsen took third place on the stage in the final group push across the finish line.
