Former Denver Nuggets forward Paul Millsap is reportedly generating interest from two NBA title contenders.

NBA free agency began earlier this month, and all of the top names flew off the board. Even so, there are still some solid names available on the open market this offseason, such as former Denver Nuggets forward Paul Millsap. Currently, Millsap does have some huge teams interested in him.

A source told Mike Singer of the Denver Post that the Golden State Warriors and Brooklyn Nets are both interested in Millsap’s services.

Those teams should not come as a shock, as they both fully intend on making a run to the NBA Finals next season. The Warriors are looking to make a a return to the playoffs for the first time since 2019, after they lost to both the Los Angeles Lakers and Memphis Grizzlies in the play-in round this past year. As for the Nets, they lost to the eventual NBA champion Milwaukee Bucks in Eastern Conference semifinals.

After spending four All-Star seasons with the Atlanta Hawks, Millsap joined the Nuggets in 2017. The very start of his tenure got off to a rough start after he picked up a left wrist injury. In each passing year with the Nuggets, Millsap’s playing time decreased.

This past season, Millsap averaged 9.0 points, 4.7 rebounds and 1.8 assists per game while shooting 47.6 percent from the field in 56 appearances. Overall, Millsap put up an average of 11.8 points, 6.1 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game in his four years with the Nuggets.

It remains to be seen where Millsap will end up signing, but you can put down Golden State and Brooklyn as potential landing spots for the NBA veteran.
