Wrestling Twitter reacts to a crazy 10 minutes that saw Becky Lynch return and win the SmackDown Women’s Championship
As Bianca Belair was making her entrance, the expected WWE SmackDown women’s championship match was to be her defending the title against Sasha Banks.
About 10 minutes later, Becky Lynch was wearing the gold.
Twitter went crazy upon Becky Lynch making her surprise, long-awaited return to WWE
After Belair’s entrance, it was announced that Banks would be unable to compete for unknown reasons, with Carmella replacing her.
As the match was about to get started, however, Lynch got Las Vegas crazy by making her first appearance on WWE programming since surrendering the Raw women’s title and taking time off in May 2020 due to pregnancy.
Lynch then took out Carmella and took the challenger role, slamming Belair and pinning her in seconds to win the title.
Twitter had a wide range of emotions, from being happy at Lynch’s return to upset of how quickly Belair lost the title.
So you telling me as a way to compete with Punk’s return WWE decided to have Becky Lynch bury Bianca Belair. The same Bianca Belair that lasted 57mins in the royal rumble and WON….the same woman who made history as one of the first two black women to main event a WrestleMania?

But all I know is that even as an 8 year old, I felt nothing but pain at Hulk Hogan just coming in and weirdly taking my guy's belt like that. Bianca Belair felt like an inspirational figure, much like Bret Hart. Not mega sure that was the move.
