Titans: Mike Vrabel tests positive for COVID-19 after preseason game in Florida
By Mark Powell
Tennessee Titans head coach Mike Vrabel tested positive for COVID-19 after visiting the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Vrabel and the Titans defeated the Buccaneers handily by a score of 34-3 in their second preseason game, but that’s not remotely the biggest story emerging from Tampa this weekend.
In an otherwise meaningless game, Vrabel has tested positive for COVID-19.
As Schefter later points out, Vrabel spent a lot of time speaking with Bucs quarterback Tom Brady and Brady’s son, who is now a ball boy for the team. Vrabel and the Brady used to teammates on the New England Patriots.

Vrabel will have to go through COVID-19 protocol while his coaching staff leads training camp without him. Meanwhile, the young coach will be able to lead from afar.
The Titans are expected to compete with the Indianapolis Colts for the AFC South crown once again this season. The Colts traded for former Eagles QB Carson Wentz in a move they hope is the missing link from a playoff team.
Meanwhile, the Titans remain the incumbent and the team to beat until proven otherwise. With Ryan Tannehill and Derrick Henry leading the way offensively, the Titans hope to challenge the Chiefs and Bills in the AFC this season. Hopefully Vrabel will be available to lead the way.
