2. Larry Fitzgerald

It may be difficult to envision Fitzgerald playing anywhere other than Arizona, but that doesn’t mean the Vikings shouldn’t give the future Hall-of-Famer a call. His ability to play quality football on both the outside and in the slot makes him a perfect depth piece for Minnesota.

It’s easy to envision a scenario where Fitzgerald emerges as a good enough starter on the boundary to let Justin Jefferson slide inside on a high percentage of his snaps. Jefferson is close to uncoverable from that spot on the field. That could give the Vikings an unstoppable wide receiver trio if Fitzgerald still has enough gas left in the tank.

The big question that must be answered here is whether or not Fitzgerald still has a strong desire to play. Even if he does, he might not be interested in leaving the only team he’s ever known. The Vikings will face an uphill battle in trying to convince him to take his talents to Minnesota in 2021.

It’s still worth a shot for the team’s front office. They can promise Fitzgerald a solid role in an offense that put up a lot of points back in 2020. It could turn into a nice final chapter in the veteran wideout’s storied career.
