Ryan Leaf ripped Nick Rolovich to shreds on a podcast

Washington football legend Ryan Leaf crushes Cougars head coach Nick Rolovich on a podcast.
While this could be a very good year for the Washington State football program, Cougars legend Ryan Leaf believes head coach Nick Rolovich has been a major distraction when it comes to his outspoken nature about not getting the COVID-19 vaccine.
Leaf appeared on the I-5 Corridor podcast, voicing his frustrations over how Rolovich is handling the situation at hand. “Unfortunately it could mean this newly-minted coach who only coached four games a year ago could be out on his ass,” said Leaf. If Rolovich remains steadfast towards his stance about not getting the COVID vaccine, it could cost the Washington state employee his job.
Leaf compared Rolovich to himself from his San Diego Chargers days, calling him “a petulant child.”
Washington State football great Ryan Leaf rips head coach Nick Rolovich
2021 is only Rolovich’s second season on the job at Washington State. The Cougars went 1-3 during a COVID-shortened Pac-12 season under Rolovich last year. Given that Washington plays in the tougher of the two Pac-12 divisions, he may not be given the benefit of the doubt if he is a primary reason for the Cougars’ lack of on-field success this year. This team does have potential.
Sadly, Rolovich has been front-and-center when it comes to news emanating out of Pullman about their football team. While the Cougars did lose long-time head coach Mike Leach very late into the offseason cycle two years ago to Mississippi State, Washington State could be on the verge of looking for yet another head coach if Rolovich continues to be this outspoken here.
We should be talking about the many great players on Washington State, and not the head coach.
