Braves’ Joc Pederson gets quick hook after completely reasonable response to questionable call.
It was not Joc Pederson‘s night on Tuesday when a series of unfortunate events occurred. Depending on who you are asking, of course, New York Yankees fans might have other ideas.
In the bottom of the fourth inning, Pederson stepped up to the plate to face off against Yankees starter Andrew Heaney with runners on first and second base for the Atlanta Braves. On the final pitch of the at-bat, Pederson was called out on strikes by home plate umpire Chris Conroy. Pederson argued he was hit by the pitch, and he was subsequently ejected from the game.

If you look at the clip above, it appears that Pederson was hit in the glove by the pitch, then called out and then swiftly ejected from the came for arguing the call. Sadly, that was not the only controversy the team would be a part of on Tuesday night.
Later on in the game, Freddie Freeman was called out when sliding into home plate. Even after instant replay showed that he touched home plate before the tag by Yankees catcher Gary Sanchez, the ruling on the field was upheld.
It was not the greatest of nights for the Braves, thanks to the umpiring crew.
