Ryan Tannehill placed on COVID-19 list with Week 1 around the corner
Tennessee Titans quarterback Ryan Tannehill is now in isolation after being placed on the COVID-19 list.
The Tennessee Titans have run into a bit of a COVID-19 problem, as the list has grown of guys who are now in isolation. On Thursday morning, news broke that starting quarterback Ryan Tannehill is now on the COVID-19 list himself. This comes after Mike Vrabel tested positive.
According to Tom Pelissero, Tannehill is vaccinated. This means he was placed on the COVID list either because he tested positive or is suffering from symptoms of the Coronavirus. Nevertheless, he’ll be away from the team until he can provide two negative tests, 24 hours apart.

Obviously, this is incredibly concerning news for the Titans and the coaching staff. The good update, though, is that Tannehill is fully vaccinated.
Regardless of that, he’ll need to be away from the team and the locker room until he can get himself back fully healthy. Tennessee is going to be incredibly careful here, as they don’t want a massive outbreak to occur. The team’s total of members of the COVID list is up to eight.
We’ve seen COVID issues arise across the NFL. The Dallas Cowboys, as of yesterday, have six players on the COVID list, plus defensive coordinator Dan Quinn. With the Delta variant spreading at an alarming rate, we’re seeing positive cases rise all over the country. The NFL isn’t immune to that.
The Titans are all set to face the Arizona Cardinals on Sept. 12 to open the regular season. There’s plenty of time for Tannehill to heal up and get ready for the action. This of course will be a situation to monitor closely leading up to things.
