The list of Tennessee Titans on the COVID list continues to grow this summer and it’s rough news with Week 1 almost here.

It’s simply been a week to forget for the Tennessee Titans. With it being announced that Mike Vrabel had tested positive for the Coronavirus, that was followed up with three players being placed on the COVID-19 list on Thursday.

This included star quarterback Ryan Tannehill. In total, per ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Titans are now up to nine total members of the organization who are on the COVID list. With the regular season almost here, this is simply troubling news for the team as a whole.

The Tennessee Titans are now up to nine players and coaches who are on the COVID list

Tannehill, Vrabel, Geoff Swaim, Justin March-Lillard, Anthony Rush, Jeremy McNichols, Nick Dzubnar, Harold Landry and special teams coach Craig Aukerman are on the list. Tannehill, Swaim and March-Lillard were the ones added to things on Thursday.

According to Tom Pelissero, Tannehill is fully vaccinated and will be eligible to return to the team once he presents two negative tests, but they must come 24 hours apart. For Vrabel, he said that he’s feeling fine despite testing positive.

Titans general manager Jon Robinson said on Thursday that the team is either 97 or 98 percent vaccinated. He also said that he expects Tannehill to be ready to rock once Week 1 does arrive for the Titans.

“He’ll be engaged in the meetings. He’ll ready to go,” Robinson said via ESPN. “He’s a pro and has played in the league for a long time. We have the utmost confidence in him and his ability to prepare.”

Regardless of that, the high number of players and coaches now away from the team has to be alarming. The Titans can only hope the list doesn’t grow in the coming days.
