The preseason is finally wrapping up with the Lions facing off against the Colts on Friday night. Here’s what to watch for.

The Lions have looked absolutely miserable at times this preseason, leading many to wonder if they’ll be among the worst teams in the NFL. For football fans in Detroit, we certainly hope that’s not the case, but they have a young team, fresh coaching staff and new quarterback. So…there could surely be some hiccups along the way.

Detroit has several positions up for grabs, most notably at backup quarterback behind Jared Goff. David Blough and Tim Boyle are competing for that spot.

The Colts, meanwhile, will not feature much of their starting offensive unit on Friday night. That’s because quarterback Carson Wentz is still recovering from surgery. He hopes to be ready in time for Week 1.

In the meantime, either Sam Ehlinger or Jacob Eason will get most of the reps.
