As the final games of preseason come to an end, we’ll get to see the New York Jets and Philadelphia Eagles face off. Zach Wilson is expected to start.
The regular season is closely creeping up on us, meaning preseason will eventually fizzle away as 53-man rosters go from dreams to reality. While some games have been cancelled due to the impending Hurricane Ida, other games are facing some pretty harsh weather up north as well.
The Philadelphia Eagles travel to East Rutherford, New Jersey to take on the New York Jets. But the thunderstorm rages on as kickoff quickly approaches. Weather doesn’t mean that the Jets won’t throw quarterback Zach Wilson into the mix tonight.

Wilson has been making a name for himself, so it only makes sense that he gets the opportunity to start at the close of preseason play. As for the Eagles, it looks like they’ll be taking a step back and playing it safe by not playing their starters. With Jalen Hurts recovering from a stomach illness, partnered with regular season on the back of our heels, there’s no need to work the starters.

For now, the 2-0 Jets will be taking on a 0-2 Eagles who are still trying to gather their footing. Though preseason doesn’t matter, with this being the final week, it’s a good indicator of what we should expect this year.
