Patrick Mahomes was as close to perfect as you could get in the Chiefs’ third and final preseason game versus the Minnesota Vikings.

Patrick Mahomes showed us again why he’s one of the very best talents in football.

In just two drives during Friday night’s preseason game, Mahomes went 8-of-9 for 117 yards and two touchdowns. Other than that? Ordinary.

First, we have this sidearm masterpiece to tight end Travis Kelce. We’ve seen these before from Mahomes, but they never get old. The angle is comical.

Patrick Mahomes was great for the Chiefs in their preseason game

The first of his two touchdowns was all too familiar for NFL fans. A deep pass to Tyreek Hill for a 35-yard touchdown. The touchdown came as Hill torched former Chiefs cornerback Bashaud Breeland; a little icing on the cake.

On the following drive, the Chiefs marched down the field and capitalized with a Mahomes touchdown throw to tight end Blake Bell, or as Chiefs fans call him, the “Bull-Dozer.”

Mahomes, along with the rest of the starters, were slated to play the entire first half. However, Andy Reid decided he had seen enough from his superstar quarterback and pulled him.

The Chiefs lead the Vikings 14-3 as of publication time, and one thing is for sure: Mahomes is done for the night and we were all reminded why he’s one of the league’s top passers.
