Skip Bayless had the most delusional hot take on Aaron Rodgers
Skip Bayless shared an absolutely insane take claiming Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers is being overhyped again.
August in the NFL is all about hype. The preseason is rolling, fans are getting excited and the media is making predictions left and right.
And Skip Bayless is dropping ridiculous hot takes about NFL quarterbacks.
“The overhyping of Aaron Rodgers has begun again,” Bayless tweeted on Friday.
Listen, Skip has to draw people in to watch Undisputed however he can, but that’s just silly.
Rodgers is coming off his third straight 4,000-yard season. He led the NFL with 48 touchdowns while throwing just five interceptions. His yards per attempt mark was 9.6. His quarterback rating and QBR were the best in football.
It’s impossible to overhype the guy. He’s that good.
Acting like Rodgers is anything but one of the best quarterbacks in the league is insanity. He deserves the hype he receives.
Skip Bayless is spreading silliness on Aaron Rodgers
Undoubtedly, Bayless’ overhype accusation comes back to the videos emerging from Packers’ practice showing Rodgers hitting pinpoint passes. That’s not overhyping. That’s typical training camp content. Every other quarterback out there gets the same treatment.
The difference for Rodgers is that he backs it up with MVP-like campaigns year in and year out.
There’s no reason to expect Rodgers to take a step back this season. He’ll be up there with the best of the best because that’s where he belongs. It’ll be interesting to see how the Packers support him in their bid to keep him around after this season because he’s definitely not the problem.
Rodgers is eyeing another Super Bowl in Green Bay, so expect Bayless and his ilk to lambaste him if he doesn’t get it done this year. Fair or not.
