Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Tyreek Hill is already in midseason form, torching a former teammate for a touchdown.
The Chiefs are facing the Minnesota Vikings in their final preseason tuneup, but that hasn’t stopped Andy Reid from showcasing some of the offensive star power Kansas City has to offer.
On the opening drive of the game, starting quarterback Patrick Mahomes hit top wide receiver Tyreek Hill, who scored a highlight-reel touchdown and former teammate Bashaud Breeland never stood a chance.

Chiefs: The Patrick Mahomes-Tyreek Hill connection is as strong as ever
Cheetah on a go route? Good luck to just about any corner, even one of Breeland’s caliber. Breeland knew the Chiefs offense all too well, considering he spent the previous two seasons in Kansas City. That did not even help improve his odds of covering Hill.
The veteran cornerback tallied 86 total tackles, 17 passes defensed, four interceptions, three fumble recoveries and one forced fumble in his two years in Kansas City, which included a Super Bowl 54 title.
This offseason, Breeland was not re-signed by the Chiefs, opening the door for him to sign a one-year, $3 million deal with the Vikings.
Yes, it is the preseason, but the Chiefs showcased that the Mahomes-to-Hill connection is still as dangerous as ever with the regular-season beginning in the coming weeks.
