The Green Bay Packers got a good look at Jordan Love in their final preseason game with a bunch of positives and some worrisome negatives.
The Packers fell to 0-3 in the preseason with a 19-0 loss to the Bills on the final weekend of the preseason.
No one likes to lose, but the outing was still useful as Green Bay continues to figure out if Jordan Love is the quarterback of the future.
Love played extensively, finishing with 149 yards on 12-of-18 passing. He also rushed for 16 yards on three carries.
Jordan Love was a little bit good and a little bit bad against the Bills
It was a bit of a Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde performance. He proved he could move the offense and make some outstanding plays.
Sensational throw from Jordan Love with a free play to boot.

This is the natural talent. pic.twitter.com/RwOpAC8v9I
He also failed to lead a touchdown drive and threw a horrendous endzone interception.
Oh so this is why Jordan Love wasn't active once during his rookie year...pic.twitter.com/1hH3BRby6C

Basically, Love needs to remember that he’s not Aaron Rodgers.
Jordan Love has to stop trying to throw off balanced like that when he's pressured.

Almost INT number 2.https://t.co/w4aaJQCVDc
Jordan Love better stop watching Rodgers and his “off platform/fade away/jump throws and thinking he can already simulate them

Getting him into trouble and in bad habits…
He also needs to work on his calm under pressure.
#Packers QB Jordan Love looked good when play went off as planned, not so good when pressured. Mechanics broke down and decisions were shaky when Bills made him move his feet. That’s typical of a young QB, but it shows much development is needed before he’s ready to start.

When it comes down to it, Love looked like a young quarterback. He was a little bit good and a little bit bad.
Jordan Love finished his first NFL preseason

24/35 271 yards 1 TD 1 INT
A lot more good than bad overall.
The #preseason is the preseason but Jordan Love's performance this day sure was a far, far cry from some of the doomsday, piss-down-leg scenarios painted pre-TC.

Overall, the preseason has been more positive than negative.
Not sure how you could come out of the preseason and not be at least slightly more encouraged about Jordan Love. I'm not calling him a future Hall of Famer. Just encouraged about the vast majority of what I saw from a young QB playing in his first two NFL games.

The problem for Love and the Packers comes down to time. They don’t have much of it. Aaron Rodgers is likely on his way out at the end of this season. The plan may be to convince him to stick around, but that’s not something they can bank on. They need Love to be ready.
Has Love proven this preseason that he can lead an NFL team? He’s not so far from being at that level.
Has Love shown that he can keep the Packers in the title hunt if he had to take over in 2022? That much is very uncertain.
