The Green Bay Packers will be giving backup quarterback Jordan Love a long look against the Buffalo Bills on Saturday afternoon.

After barely seeing Jordan Love last year or this summer, the masses about to get a very goo glance at the former first-round pick.

Love will reportedly be playing into the third quarter against the Buffalo Bills in the Green Bay Packers’ third and final preseason game. Afterwards, Love is likely to seething but the occasional mop-up snap until 2022, while Aaron Rodgers completes his two-year, painstaking revenge tour.

Jordan Love is getting his biggest chance to shine this preseason for Packers

For Love, this is a nice opportunity to show Packers fans all isn’t lost should Rodgers and the team decide to part ways come March. Green Bay famously moved up to select Love in the 2020 Draft, taking him out of Utah State. Due to COVID, Love was limited to only second-team reps in training camp with preseason games canceled. In the regular season, the rookie didn’t make a single appearance.

While Packers fans are undoubtedly excited to see Love’s progression, head coach Matt LaFleur has to be thrilled. If Love plays well, it both gives LaFleur confidence in the future while also knowing that should Rodgers miss any time due to injury, Green Bay isn’t sunk in the NFC playoff chase.

For now, though, Love is getting a long look before putting on a headset for what might be the next five months.
