Daniel Dubois makes electric U.S. debut, stopping Cusumano by TKO in 1 (Video)
England’s Daniel Dubois made a splash in his U.S. debut on the undercard of Jake Paul vs. Tyron Woodley, stopping Juiseppe Angelo Cusumano in round 1.
British heavyweight boxer made his U.S. debut in a big way. The crowd at the Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse in Cleveland, OH, came to see Jake Paul vs. Tyron Woodley, but they also got to enjoy Dubois’s heavyweight power.
Dubois (17-1, 16 KOs) came into his Aug. 29 bout with Juiseppe Angelo Cusumano, only two fights removed from his 2020 loss to Joe Joyce.
He put those disappointing memories against Joyce in the rearview mirror after he demolished Cusumano in fast order.

Dubois and Cusumano came out throwing bombs, but Dubois proved to have heavier and more skilled hands. He dropped Cusumano twice in round 1. It took Cusumano until the count of 9 to get up both times.
Dubois knew Cusumano was done, and one last combination sent Cusumano to the canvas for the third and final time. Referee George Nichols called a stop to the contest at the 2:10 mark of round 1.
Cusumano (19-4, 17 KOs) dropped his fourth bout. He landed one solid right before things took a quick turn for the worse.
Dubois has the talent and skill to give all the top heavyweights a problem. He made some new fans in the U.S. after his performance.
