The Alabama Crimson Tide and Miami Hurricanes have a featured matchup in Week 1. What should you expect from the Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game?

Alabama opens yet another season as the No. 1 ranked team in the country and the defending national champions. First up on their 2021 slate? No 14. Miami.

The Hurricanes made it through the 2020 season with an 8-3 record but finished the campaign with two disappointing losses. They have their work cut out for them against the Crimson Tide.

Nick Saban’s juggernaut has never lost a season opener.

Will that impressive record come to an end this year? Or will Manny Diaz and his squad become the latest victims?

Alabama vs. Miami odds for Week 1

This may be the first ranked matchup of the season, but oddsmakers aren’t confident it’ll be a game. Alabama is an 18.5 point favorite over Miami with an over/under of 62.

Alabama injury report vs. Miami in Week 1

Wide receiver Xavier Williams is out for the season. Offensive tackle Kendall Randolph sprained his ankle during camp but might be available for Saturday. Defensive lineman Labryan Ray is also questionable with a groin issue.

John Metchie III injury update

John Metchie III looks like the next great Alabama receiver, but he was limited in Spring Campinjury. The good news for Crimson Tide fans is he should be ready to go for the season opener.

Alabama vs. Miami prediction for Week 1

After losing six first-round NFL Draft picks from last year’s title-winning squad, Alabama has to do a ton of reloading. Does that mean they’re vulnerable in Week 1? Not likely.

Saban and his staff have recruited at a continuously high level. Sure, losing Mac Jones and a Heisman-winning receiver hurt. The Tide are just plugging in the uber-talented Bryce Young and have a squadron of gifted pass-catchers looking to make their mark. Whether on offense or defense, the holes are being filled by former blue chips.

Miami can hope to keep it close for as long as they can. It won’t matter in the end because they don’t have the firepower to contend.

Prediction: Alabama 37-Miami 17
