JuJu Smith-Schuster isn’t close to the Steelers biggest problem right now

Steelers wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster is getting criticized for doing the Milk Crate Challenge, but he’s far from the biggest concern for Pittsburgh.

The Steelers were in the news on Monday for all the wrong reasons.

Wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster performed the dangerous “Milk Crate Challenge,” sparking criticism from fans and media alike.

With just a couple of weeks before the start of the regular season, the risk-taking on Smith-Schuster’s part was not welcome. Some are using it as yet another sign of the player’s immaturity.

Let’s be honest, Smith-Schuster is hardly Pittsburgh’s problem right now.

JuJu Smith-Schuster’s milk crate challenge isn’t the Steelers’ biggest concern

Want to talk about immaturity? How about fighting with teammates on the practice field? That’s what wide receiver Chase Claypool and safety Minkah Fitzpatrick were up to on Monday.

Practice scuffles happen on occasion, but they’re definitely more concerning than a social media stunt that ultimately didn’t result in harm. That’s doubly true when reports suggest “haymakers” were being thrown.

Another big concern for the Steelers? The state of their offensive line. Steelers insider Jim Colony recently said on 93.7 The Fan that no one he’s talked to “thinks their offensive line will be okay” this year.

People can spend all their time yapping about Smith-Schuster’s social media presence. The fact is, the success or failure of the team will have a lot more to do with what happens on the practice field and what the offensive line becomes.

All the Smith-Schuster situation needs is for Mike Tomlin to pull him aside and remind him about how he needs to keep himself safe. It doesn’t reflect how hard he’s going to fight for the team when the season starts.

The other things the Steelers are dealing with right now are much more of an issue and much harder to solve.
