Damian Lillard gives mad props to kid who showed up for first day of school in his jersey.

Everyone remembers the anticipation, excitement and nervousness about your first day of school. What you wear on that first day either sets you up for a great year or as the year you’re known as the kid who wore a mac and cheese sweatshirt.

For this kid, not only did he kill it on the first day but his idol also recognized. That’s going to be a hard first day to beat.

Damian Lillard made this kids day

On Tuesday, a kid named “Diego” posted a photo of himself in the mirror wearing a Portland Trailblazers jersey and tagged the player he was repping, Damian Lillard.

And he replied.

“11/10,” Lillard replied on the quote tweet. How cool is that?

The team also commented on the post, “Hope you had a great day.”

Something tells us he had a really great day.
