Jim Harbaugh and the Michigan Wolverines are looking to start the 2021 season off strong when they face Western Michigan.

As the Michigan Wolverines gear up for the 2021 season, Jim Harbaugh is on the hot seat. After only managing to win a couple of games last season, Michigan enters the 2021 season looking to take a step forward.

If Harbaugh is going to continue coaching in Ann Arbor, the Wolverines will need to get some wins this season.Ā The only problem with that? Well, according to ESPN’s Bill Connelly, the Wolverines have one of the toughest schedules in the country.

Assuming something bizarre doesn’t happen, Western Michigan shouldn’t be too much of an issue for Harbaugh and the Wolverines. Despite the fact that the Broncos had twice as many wins as the Wolverines, Michigan has a far more talented roster and should be able to start this year off with a decent win.

But we’ll see if something bizarre happens.

Michigan vs. Western Michigan prediction for Week 1

Harbaugh and company should be able to get the season started with a win, but given who the Wolverines play next week, they probably shouldn’t open the playbook up too much in this game. It’s also important for Michigan to get its starters as much rest as possible.

Prediction: Michigan 38, Western Michigan 17
