Gus Johnson went full-blown Gus Johnson during the end of Penn State-Wisconsin game.
Rule No. 1: Never go full-blown Gus Johnson unless you are in fact Gus Johnson, and you are calling Penn State at Wisconsin on Big Noon Kickoff.
In a Big Ten rock fight that offered us precisely zero first-half points, we were still able to get Johnson in peak form in the final minutes. Wisconsin quarterback Graham Mertz was picked off on the final two possessions in Penn State territory. Here is Johnson going bonkers when Penn State safety Jaquan Brisker picked off Mertz deep in Nittany Lions territory to nearly seal the game.
If you doubt that nature is healing, just listen to Johnson do what he does best at Camp Randall.
Gus Johnson's ELECTRIC call on No. 19 Penn State's WILD UPSET finish over No. 12 Wisconsin 😱🔥

Gus Johnson is in mid-season form yelling in excitement over Penn State pick
Johnson may be the voice of FOX College Football, but he is the voice of the fan. Nobody gets more fired up about early-afternoon window games than Johnson. Occasionally, his partner in the booth Joel Klatt may need to reel him in, but after a season with no fans in attendance at Big Ten games, you have to let Johnson let it rip for everyone outside of Wisconsin’s enjoyment with this great call.
It is Gus Johnson yelling season, and we could not be happier that it has finally returned.
