Ronnie Bell injury update: Michigan receiver leaves game in wheelchair

Ronnie Bell’s season may be over before it even got started.

Michigan football receiver Ronnie Bell made a highlight-reel catch in the first half vs. Western Michigan, but later suffered an injury that may have ended his season.

Bell was injured on special teams when he was returning a punt, which is a questionable decision to have a talented playmaker like him risking injury on special teams in the first place.

Bell was removed from the field on a cart and was later in a wheelchair in the Michigan tunnel.

After taken off the field on a cart, Bell was in a wheelchair on his way to the tunnel. It’s unknown what the extent of his injury is, but, obviously, this is a discouraging sign for one of the best players on the Wolverines.

It’s not fair to speculate, but this is clearly a lower-leg injury but whether it’s an ACL injury that could sideline him all year or something that could see him return in a few weeks, or at least before the end of the year, will be known after he has an MRI and visits with his doctors.

All the best to Bell and hope he can return to the field as soon as doctors allow.
