The college football media landscape reacted to Georgia’s convincing victory over the Clemson Tigers on Saturday.
The main event of Saturday’s full slate of college football games was the No. 5 Georgia Bulldogs taking on the No. 3 Clemson Tigers. Many expected it to be an offensive duel between the two programs, but that was far from the case. Even though these two teams were ranked in the top five by the Associated Press, it featured a shocking end result.
Georgia’s defense propelled them to a stunning 10-3 victory over Clemson live from Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, N.C. As is always the case, the college football media world reacted to the score and performances of both teams on Twitter.

Just love that Kirby Smart is about to record one of his biggest wins at UGA and the offense scored three points. Can't stop laughing.

Georgia's biggest win since the 2017 CFP semifinals. With an epic defensive performance.

Holding Clemson to 3 points? Unreal.
It's not even Labor Day, but let's just cut straight to the early December argument of whether the loser of the Alabama-Georgia SEC Championship Game deserves a spot in the College Football Playoff.

And that'll do it from Charlotte. Georgia wins 10-3. DJ Uiagalelei was sacked 7 times.

Alabama 1, Georgia 2. It’s early, but it’s not unthinkable that might not change until December 4.

Georgia 10, Clemson 3. F. Zero offensive touchdowns. But a big win for the Bulldogs, whose schedule opens up from here.

#CLEMSONING is BACK!!!

Good win for UGA. Played the way they wanted and like. Impressed with commitment to pressure and hope they keep that up. Shout out to both defenses a FG apiece and a defensive guy is the game changer with that INT for 6.

Colossal, statement win for the Dawgs. They get that offense healthy and clicking, they’re a problem.

As mentioned earlier, the offenses of both Georgia and Clemson were rather stagnant. Given the lack of plays on offense, the Bulldogs essentially clinched the victory in the second quarter. After Kendall Milton fumbled the punt return, Bulldogs defensive back Christopher Smith picked off quarterback D.J. Uiagalelei and returned it 74-yards for the touchdown.
Credit can be given to Georgia’s defense, who capitalized on a poor showing by Clemson’s offensive line. Overall, the Bulldogs limited the Tigers to 180 yards of total offense, including two rushing yards!
Georgia will carry this momentum into next weekend’s matchup against UAB, while Clemson looks for their first win of the season as they take on South Carolina State.
