After being blown out by the Alabama Crimson Tide, the Miami Hurricanes football fans had to suffer one last embarrassment.

Losing 44-13 on national television is bad enough. Losing your own turnover chain? Horrific.

For one Miami hurricanes fan, this was his plight on Saturday afternoon after watching the Alabama Crimson Tide crush Miami in Atlanta.

A man, desperate to get home and perhaps soothe his pain after watching what was the football equivalent of a high school kid trying to fight Mike Tyson, lost his turnover chain at the Atlanta Airport when TSA wasn’t having it.

For the Hurricanes, the loss was expected by most with a level head, but not losing in such a fashion. First-time starting quarterback Bryce Young lit up Miami throughout, throwing for 344 yards and four touchdowns on 9.1 YPA, going 27-of-38. Meanwhile, Miami quarterback and pro prospect D’Eriq King struggled against the ferocious Tide defense, throwing for a meager 178 yards on 5.7 YPA with a touchdown and two interceptions.

The good news for Miami? The previously 14th-ranked club won’t have to play Alabama again, and looking at the schedule, could run the table in the weak ACC. The only remaining ranked opponent it has on the docket is the North Carolina Tar Heels, and they were just handled by the Virginia Tech Hokies.

Additionally, the Clemson Tigers managed a meager three points in their loss to the Georgia Bulldogs on Saturday night, so Miami’s hopes of winning the conference are both alive and realistic.
