2. Amari Cooper, WR, Dallas Cowboys

Amari Cooper has been elite since joining the Cowboys in 2018, finishing over 1,000 yards in the seasons he’s been fully healthy. He quickly became the favorite target of Dak Prescott, and this has vaulted Cooper into borderline WR1 territory.

Looking at last year specifically, in the four games Cooper and Prescott played together, he went:

Week 1: 10-of-14 for 81 yards
Week 2: 6-of-9 for 100 yards
Week 3: 9-of-12 for 86 yards
Week 4: 12-of-14 for 134 yards and a touchdown

He was very easily the WR1 for Dallas even with CeeDee Lamb and Michael Gallup involved in the offense. While Lamb is projected to make a second-year jump, it will be Cooper who remains the top wideout in Dallas.

In fantasy drafts, Lamb is being drafted in the late third round, while Cooper is being drafted in the early fourth. If you took the discounted Cooper over Lamb, it may have been a better pick value-wise because of Cooper’s top 10 upside.
