Hall of Fame tight end Tony Gonzalez spoke with FanSided on Tuesday morning and had a strong take on how he’d feel about unvaccinated teammates.

Tony Gonzalez wouldn’t want any unvaccinated teammates.

Gonzalez, a 14-time Pro Bowler and six-time First-Team All-Pro, was asked on Tuesday about whether he’d be annoyed with teammates who were unvaccinated if he were a current player today. The Hall of Famer didn’t hold back.

“Honestly, yeah. Yep. … I’d be a little bit upset by it,” said Gonzalez, who also said he’s vaccinated against COVID-19. “Just get it, come on, let’s go. We put a lot of other things in our body to get out on the football field. I think it’s safe, and yeah, I would definitely want everybody on the team to get vaccinated so we could go out and win some football games.”

Gonzalez, who is working with TiVo 4K Stream to provide football fans with the best gameday experience, knows plenty about what it is to be a great teammate.

Despite being stuck on many Kansas City Chiefs teams without an elite quarterback — Brodie Croyle, Tyler Thigpen, Elvis Grbac and Damon Huard come to mind — the former Cal standout never complained.

Over his final five seasons with the Atlanta Falcons, Gonzalez enjoyed a kinship with future MVP Matt Ryan, who helped the franchise reach the NFC Championship Game in Gonzalez’s penultimate season of 2012.
