Nick Chubb needs to be the best player on the field for Cleveland to win Sunday

While the Chiefs have the better overall offense over Cleveland, the Browns potentially have a player the Kansas City defense may have no answer for in superstar running back Nick Chubb. With former Chiefs standout Kareem Hunt backing him up, the Cleveland rushing attack has to be strong if the Browns want any hope of winning at Arrowhead on Sunday. It has to show up or else.

When it comes to Chubb, this is not about neutralizing Kansas City’s defense, or even taking the ball away from Patrick Mahomes and company. It is all about being the aggressor with your perennial Pro Bowl battering ram running back. Chubb is coming off back-to-back 1,000-yard seasons for the Browns. Anything short of a third consecutive one will be a huge disappointment.

Having Chubb flourish behind the best offensive line in football will go a long way towards Mayfield and the passing game being able to thrive running play-action. Though Chubb is not much of a receiving threat out of the backfield, Hunt sure is. However, Cleveland is going to need around 25 punishing carries out of Chubb for him to eclipse 100 rushing yards in route to victory.

Simply put, the Browns are not winning in Arrowhead without an elite performance from Chubb.
