5 players the Seahawks need to play well to beat Colts
After one of the historically worst seasons for an NFL quarterback, Carson Wentz may not need any help losing on Sunday — but in case he does, Seahawks defensive end Carlos Dunlap is here to offer his services.
Another mid-season acquisition alongside Reed, the 11-year veteran pass rusher made an immediate impact upon joining the Seahawks defense in Week 9 of last season. In just eight games, Dunlap logged five sacks, 14 total tackles and 14 quarterback hits.
It’s why the Seahawks brought him back to Seattle this offseason with an appealing two-year, $16.6M contract. Following the money is an easy to determine which players a team believes in, so if last season’s play wasn’t enough for Seahawks fans, Schneider’s paycheck says it all: Dunlap is here to lap up opposing quarterbacks for at least the next two years.
Wentz was sacked a league-high 50 times last season, and Dunlap is just the person to send the skittish quarterback backwards in 2021.
