With Oregon taking down Ohio State at the ‘Shoe, no one was happier than Michigan fans to roast their longtime rivals.
The No. 3 Buckeyes have now looked subpar in back-to-back weeks, and they fell to a formidable foe in the Oregon Ducks on Saturday afternoon.
Ohio State quarterback C.J. Stroud looked outmatched in the first half, but when the Buckeyes had to be pass-happy, he was able to respond to the tune of nearly 500 passing yards and three touchdowns through the air.
Meanwhile, the Ducks without Kayvon Thibodeaux were able to provide a sustainable pass rush, while Oregon’s approach offensively was too much for Ohio State to stop on a consistent basis.
No one was happier than Michigan fans when Ohio State lost
Michigan hasn’t beaten Ohio State in 10 years, but you wouldn’t know that by how Wolverines fans reacted to the Buckeyes defeat.
WE ARE ALL OREGON FANS TODAY

I’m at a restaurant in downtown Ann Arbor, and the Michigan fans are rooting hard for Oregon, and the UW fans are rooting hard for Ohio State. It’s as if Michigan and UW are already playing each other. It’s disorienting.

An Ohio state L and a Michigan W in the same day would make for an excellent Saturday

Ohio State getting beat by ducks should be good news for Michigan’s quarterbacks

Michigan plays a tough opponent in the Washington Huskies on Saturday night, so they should enjoy this happiness while they have it. Given the Wolverines don’t get their actual chance at revenge until the end of the season, this is the most they can ask for as soon as Week 2.
Ohio State will still be favored to defeat Michigan come Nov. 27, barring an unforeseen change in circumstances.
This Buckeyes team is flawed, no doubt. Their defense has looked susceptible against both Minnesota and now Oregon, especially in the passing game. Stroud, despite a solid second-half performance, struggled at times. So much so, in fact, that he was trending on Twitter for the wrong reasons.
Michigan fans can get their trolling in now, but Ohio State still has every opportunity to get the last laugh.
