Michigan game today: Michigan vs. Washington prediction, odds, spread, line, over/under & betting info for NCAA Week 2
The Michigan Wolverines look for another statement win as they welcome the Washington Huskies and we have everything CFB fans need for the game.
Things started out quite a bit differently for the Michigan Wolverines and Washington Huskies as both teams eyed a big matchup against one another in Week 2. Jim Harbaugh’s team took on an inferior in-state opponent and handled their business but Jimmy Lake’s Huskies were unable to do the same as the Montana Grizzlies, the punching bag in a one-sided rivalry, notched a stunning victory.
Now it’s time for Washington to try and rebound as they travel to Ann Arbor and the Big House for a huge matchup between the Big Ten and Pac-12. This could very much mean that the season is on the line for the Huskies, so we’ll have to see if they can come up and show more than they did in Week 1. For the Wolverines, it’s all about holding serve.
This is a fascinating college football matchup in the second week of the season, so we have everything you could need to get ready for this game.
Michigan vs. Washington Odds NCAA Week 2
Point Spread: Michigan -7.0
Moneyline: Michigan -270, Washington +215
Over/Under: 48.5 points
Odds via WynnBet
This point spread is just too high. While the Michigan offense looked great to open the season, they lost their best wide receiver and they don’t exactly have a long recent track record of being an explosive offense. On top of that, Washington is still a good defensive team that’s more than willing to muck it up and keep things close. So while I lean the Huskies as underdogs against the spread, the under would also make sense to fit that narrative.
Michigan injury report vs. Washington NCAA Week 2
Outside of one key wide receiver, the Wolverines appear to be relatively healthy coming into this big-time Week 2 matchup. Washington will also be much healthier than they were in the stunning upset loss to open the season, namely getting the four wide receivers who were ruled out for that game back onto the field to try and help spark the offense.
Ronnie Bell Injury Update
Unfortunately, Michigan’s most dangerous and explosive wide receiver suffered a knee injury in the season-opening win against Western Michigan while returning a punt. The Wolverines found out the worst as Bell will be out against Washington and, more pressingly, for the rest of the 2021 college football season.
Michigan vs. Washington Prediction NCAA Week 2
This Washington team is better than what they showed a week ago and we should see that when they visit the Big House. The problem is that I’m not sure Jimmy Lake and the Huskies are better enough to put up enough points to win this game.
Michigan surely isn’t a world-beater at this point but they looked good to start the season and have a number of playmakers even without Bell on the field. Playing a Huskies offense that simply looks content to let their defense win games, that should be enough to push the Wolverines to a win in this one, dropping Washington to 0-2. Final Score: Michigan 17, Washington 13
