Notre Dame Fighting Irish and college football fans were not too happy to find out that the teamās game against the Toledo Rockets on Saturday was only airing on the Peacock app.
The Notre Dame Fighting Irish opened up their season with a thrilling, back-and-forth, overtime victory over the Florida State Seminoles. Following that win, Notre Dame fans were understandably looking forward to the teamās remaining games on the schedule. But there was one problem ā the Fighting Irishās game against the Toldeo Rockets was not on a national broadcast.
Notre Dameās game against Toledo took place exclusively on NBCās streaming service, Peacock. That meant fans had to sign up for a subscription to watch the Fighting Irish barely defeat the Rockets by the score of 32-29.
Many on Twitter were not pleased with the decision to air Notre Dameās second game of the season on a streaming service, and a streaming service only.

As you can see, many were not fooled by Notre Dame struggling against Toledlo to bring them to signing up for a Peacock subscription to watch the game, even though it ended in nail-biting fashion.
The Fighting Irish saw a 24-16 lead vanish in the fourth quarter following an eight-yard touchdown pass from Carter Bradley to running back Bryant Koback and a 26-yard touchdown run by Dequan Finn to give Toledo a late 29-24 lead. Yet, Notre Dame bounced back to take a 32-29 lead with over a minute remaining in regulation, thanks to a 18-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Jack Doan to tight end Michael Mayer.
For those wondering, yes, Notre Dameās game next week against the Purdue Boiler Makers will be available on Peacock. However, it will be broadcasted nationally on NBC. Almost got you there, didnāt we?
