Todd Gurley offered the perfect tweet while the Georgia football team destroyed UAB.
Former Georgia football star Todd Gurley had the best tweet to describe what it was like to watch the Dawgs play UAB on Saturday.
Georgia survived a defensive struggle vs. Clemson last week. While the Dawgs were unable to score an offensive touchdown in that game, they had no issues moving the ball on the Blazers. With Stetson Bennett filling in for JT Daniels at quarterback, the Georgia offense scored seven touchdowns, while the defense gave them a pick-six in as many games. This team looks elite.
No doubt about how much Gurley would have loved to play for this particular Georgia team.

Todd Gurley knows that this Georgia football team could be a special one
While the Dawgs were pretty good when Gurley played for them under Mark Richt, the Kirby Smart era of Georgia football is a step up from that. The Dawgs have been to a New Year’s Six bowl in each of the last four seasons. They have won the SEC East three times and played for a national title once. After throttling UAB to the tune of 56-7, Georgia improves to 2-0 on the year.
Over the last two games, we have seen the best defense in football be on full display. Georgia has given up a grand total of 10 points, and have yet to surrender an offensive touchdown. A Carson Beck pick-six blew the Dawgs’ chance at a shutout in extreme garbage time. For as good as this Georgia team looks to be, the Alabama Crimson Tide loom large over there in the SEC West.
Even with many areas to improve in, Gurley is 100 percent right in how legit this Georgia team is.
