Mets fan rushes the field with absolutely no hesitation (Video)
A New York Mets fan stole the show on Saturday night at Citi Field, rushing the field and then getting leveled by a security guard.
New York Yankees and New York Mets supporters were treated to quite the showdown on Saturday. The Yankees scored three runs in the top of the eighth to steal an 8-7 win away from the Mets.
In the middle of the action, though, a young man decided that he wanted to provide the rest of the crowd with some extra fireworks. He did so by rushing the field and doing so in spectacular style.

Is it possible to have an infinite amount of swag? If not, then this kid is dangerously close to having it. First off, he fires up everyone else in his section. Then, as it looks like he’s getting ready to potentially leave, he runs down the stairs and jumps out onto the field.
Then all hell broke loose. The fan sprints his way all over the outfield, dodging would-be tacklers in the process. The more he ran, the louder the cheers for him got. Unfortunately for him, eventually the party was over, as a security guard caught up to him and laid a hit that would probably make Myles Garrett jealous.
At the end of the day, this dude got his 15 minutes of fame, but he shouldn’t be expected back inside Citi Field any time soon. For the Mets, the team enters the Sunday Night Baseball showdown with their 71-72 record, while the Yankees continue to fight for their playoff lives at 79-63. It’s going to be a fun end of the season to see if the Yankees grab one of the Wild Card spots or not.
