The Chiefs will have Lamar Jackson running for his life

It feels like the Ravens are dealing with more injuries than anyone else in the NFL right now.

Losing Marcus Peters at cornerback was a huge blow on defense while the running back woes on offense were bad enough without adding an offensive line problem to them. Against the Raiders, starting left guard Tyre Phillips suffered an injury. Now Phillips is on injured reserve and Baltimore’s line is weakened.

Chris Jones and the Kansas City defensive front should be rubbing their hands together in anticipation of getting after Lamar Jackson, especially with Frank Clark set to return from injury.

Clark isn’t the only one coming back either. The Chiefs are set to field safety Tyrann Mathieu after he missed Week 1.

The run defense should be bolstered this week along with the pass defense, which will put the pressure fully on Jackson’s shoulders. He’s certainly capable of evading plenty of the time, but he’ll have to do a lot of escaping on Sunday.
