Running Backs: Nick Chubb $7,800

Chubb might not be the flashiest ball carrier in the league, but he is one of the most reliable. When healthy, he consistently gets double-digit carries and averages above five yards a carry. He also happens to be running behind the best offensive line in football this year, according to Pro Football Focus.

Chubb rumbled his way for 83 yards and two touchdowns on 15 carries in Sunday’s loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. He should be in line for a similar workload in Week 2 against a Houston Texans team that ranked as one of the worst run defenses in the league last year.

Melvin Gordon III $5,900

Gordon split touches with rookie running back Javonte Williams on Sunday, but it was Gordon who proved to be more effective going for 101 yards and a touchdown on 11 carries. His big game, which included a 70-yard touchdown run, should earn him more looks in Week 2’s matchup with the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Gordon’s usage in the passing game as well as his guaranteed 10+ carries a game gives him a high floor that makes him a relatively safe pick at a reasonable price. His ability to break big plays combined with a matchup against a porous Jacksonville Jaguars defense provides him with excellent upside.
