Tight End: Jared Cook, Chargers vs. Dallas Cowboys ($5,400)

Cook had five catches for 56 yards against Washington in Week 1, on eight targets, as he set aside Donald Parham as a fantasy factor for at least a week. The veteran tight end has a solid floor in the Chargers’ offense, with Justin Herbert at the helm. And Week 2 brings a matchup that can’t be turned away from in any fantasy circumstance.

In Week 1, the Dallas Cowboys allowed eight receptions for 90 yards and two touchdowns to Rob Gronkowski. Cook might be able to threaten the seam better than Gronk, further stressing the Cowboys’ linebackers and the middle of the pass defense in general. Cook should have no trouble finding a favorable matchup on Sunday, and getting wherever he needs to go with little resistance.

Cook comes in with the 11th-highest salary among tight ends for FanDuel’s Sunday slate. Beyond Travis Kelce and Darren Waller as the top two options, who are well-worth their salaries, Cook is right in the mix with as much upside as any tight end this week. He’s a great value too.
