Odell Beckham Jr. will miss more time for Browns
By John Buhler
Cleveland Browns fans are not going to like the latest injury update on Odell Beckham Jr.
Cleveland Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski has already ruled out wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. for their Week 2 home opener vs. the Houston Texans on Sunday.
Beckham did not play last week in the season opener vs. the Kansas City Chiefs. He has not played in an NFL game that has counted since the early part of last season. The talented wide receiver only appeared in seven games for the Browns a season ago and has not been to a Pro Bowl since his third season out of LSU way back in 2016. This is not a good look for him going forward one bit.
The good news is the Browns’ roster is loaded and the Texans are among the worst teams in the league.
Odell Beckham Jr. injury update: Browns WR ruled out vs. Texans in Week 2
While Cleveland is essentially a guarantee to get to 1-1 after the lowly Texans come to town, Browns fans have to be concerned about the health of the controversial wide receiver. When healthy, Beckham can be a top-10 receiver in the league. Unfortunately, he has not been that level of a receiver since breaking his ankle very early into the 2017 campaign for the New York Giants.
Though the Browns are a serious Super Bowl contender, Beckham’s health is very much an issue.
